Anyway, since you already deployed the appliance on another host (I assume you used the same package), I'd actually rule out an installer package corruption. If Acronis provides a checksum for the image, you may want to verify this anyway just to be sure.
Does the installer create any log files, and/or are there any events in the ESXi host's event log which might help finding the cause of this issue?
Btw. which exact version/build of ESXi, and Acronis do you use?
